I'm laying on a medical bed in some kind of a hospital room. Liz is sitting on a folding chair near me, reading her phone.
"You all right?"
I think so, yes.
"I'll never forget what you did for me."
She puts the phone down and hugs me tight. What did I do for her? I couldn't do ANYTHING for her, I was not strong enough or smart enough to get her free. I was completely useless. Even if she's free now, obviously it can't be a result of my actions.
"You've literally killed yourself. I mean you were clinically dead. They had to cancel the whole thing of course and rush you to emergency."
Did I now? Who's they? What thing? Seems like Liz is in the know, I'll ask her later.
"I've watched the tape and I want you to know several things. First, you are haaardcore. I don't think I would be able to go through a tenth of what you went through. Not just in this test, overall."
Test? I'm starting to paint a picture. Hardcore? No, I don't think so. She's just being kind.
"Second, no matter what future brings, you ARE my superhero. You've acted with no regards to your own comfort or even safety, you are the most selfless person in the world."
What are you talking about Liz, it's just what you do. Everyone would do the same.
"And you didn't know that of course, but I wasn't like in danger or anything, for me it was actually quite pleasant. Thanks to you! But one thing was real."
Her face turns a bit red. Am I seeing Liz being shy? Ooooh, I'm gonna savour this moment.
~~"you did drink my pee"~~
Oh Liz, how sweet. Of all the things this one doesn't bother me all that much. I tease her by smacking my lips and running my tongue around them. She turns away.
"I guess what I'm trying to say is I'm feeling I don't deserve your kindness, I don't think I could do the same if the roles were reversed."
...
"And even if technically you didn't save my life, what counts is you thought you were. I'll never forget that."
That's a charitable description of events. One could say that I was just so stupid that I've killed myself for no reason at all.
...
I would do that again of course.
The door opens and two people come in. Some woman and...
